Welcome to the Training and Nutrition Center
In this section you will find information about the Weight Training and Conditioning program as well as nutritional information. Please check this center as often as possible. We will be posting information such as ideas for a balanced diet, as well as lunch and dinner recipes.
The Goal:
The Mustangs Weight Training and Conditioning program is a challenging and rewarding experience for our athletes. It will promote self awareness about weight training, nutrition, and conditioning. This program will challenge our athletes to bring out the best in themselves in preparation for the season coming, and in life. Please take this training seriously; you only get out of this program what you put into it. The following forms will be necessary before anyone can participate in the summer workouts. If you have not already done so, please have the parent permission form (below) filled out and returned on your first day of training.
Work Ethic:
It is the our goal to promote team building and self awareness. Therefore, all athletes are expected to come into training with a good attitude towards themselves, their teammates, and the program. Any conduct that is deemed detrimental to the team will not be tolerated. This is a serious time that will allow for some fun, but the main focus of this program is to work hard to prepare for the regular season and beyond.
Nutrition:
Please take your nutrition as seriously as your workout sessions. Proper diet is necessary for reaching and maintaining your workout results. The following charts and web links give great information on foods that athletes should be consuming. Along with keeping a diet journal, use of these resources will maximize results.
